What to Expect:
This is a scenic and moderately challenging hike starting in Olympic Valley and leading into the mountains above.
The trail has a steady incline, rocky terrain, and some sections that require light scrambling.
Plan for a point-to-point hike: we’ll go up the trail and ride the tram back down to the village.
The route offers beautiful views, alpine streams, and rugged granite formations.
Important Parking Info:
Do not park at the trailhead - this area is a designated fire lane and must remain clear at all times.
Park in the main Palisades parking lot, located just 150 yards from the trailhead. It offers over 4,000 spaces and is the safest and most respectful option for the area.
What to Bring:
Plenty of water
Sunscreen
Bug spray
Proper hiking shoes (trail can be rocky and uneven)
Comfortable hiking clothes (layers recommended)
