About the event
MTB Campout 2025 at EVERSTOKE
Location: EVERSTOKE – Graeagle, California
Dates: September 12th-14th
Join us for a full weekend of mountain biking, camping, and connection in the beautiful Northern California mountains. Disconnect to Reconnect is hosting this year’s MTB Campout at EVERSTOKE. This is a unique property in Graeagle where Veterans can ride, relax, and spend time outdoors with others who share similar experiences.
Whether you’re brand new to mountain biking or have years of experience, this event welcomes all skill levels. Expect a mix of fun rides, supportive learning, and shared meals with good people.
Weekend Overview
Friday – Arrival and Optional Ride
For those arriving early, there will be an optional ride at Tahoe Donner for intermediate/advanced riders with own bike. Get to the property, set up camp, get settled in. Dinner will be shared that evening, followed by introductions and an overview of the weekend.
Saturday – Skills and Trail Riding
The morning will kick off with a beginner-friendly skills clinic on the EVERSTOKE property, followed by trail rides for all levels. In the afternoon, we’ll shuttle to Mills Peak for an intermediate to advanced ride. After the ride, we’ll gather back at camp for dinner and downtime.
Sunday – Downieville Ride and Departure
After packing up camp, we’ll head to Downieville for a group ride (shuttled, if possible). Riders will depart for home directly from there.
What to Bring
This is a camping event. Please make sure to bring:
Camping Gear: Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, camp chair, etc
Riding gear: helmet, gloves, hydration pack, shoes, bike, etc
Warm layers for cool mornings and evenings
Snacks, water, and hydration mix
Anything you'd like to share at meal times (drinks, sides, dessert, etc.)
Shared meals will be provided throughout the weekend, but we encourage everyone to bring something small to add to the table and contribute to the group.
If you need a bike or camping gear, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to help.
All Skill Levels Welcome
All Veterans are welcome to join, regardless of experience. We’ll have riding options and guidance for beginners, as well as challenging rides for intermediate and advanced riders. Everyone rides at their own pace. The goal is to enjoy the outdoors, support each other, and have a great time.
