Join Us on this Veteran Snowshoe Adventure through the awesome wilderness of Tahoe National Forest near Castle Peak. Just off Highway 80, expect a Moderate Trek about 3-5 mile round trip. Arrive by 0830 to get a parking spot and to get gear.

About the event
Directions to Castle Peak:
Castle Peak is located 8 miles West of Truckee off the Boreal Ski Resort exit. Exit # 176. Park along the road (Bunny Hill Rd./Boreal Ridge Rd) near the brown sign for Donner Summit California State Sno Park. Meet near the brown Sno Park sign, this is where the snowshoes will be staged along with our guide.
PARKING: Parking in this location requires a parking permit. We will be purchasing and providing those permits to the Veterans who attend this event. Please be open to carpooling with other Veterans as this parking area can fill up on a Saturday. Please try to arrive by 0830.
RESTROOMS: There are limited restrooms at this parking location so try go before getting to the parking area if needed. There are restrooms located at gas stations close to freeway exits along I-80. (like Donner Summit Gas off Donner Pass Rd)
