Backpacking Adventure - Tahoe National Forest

About the Trip

Join us for an unforgettable three-day backpacking adventure through the beautiful Tahoe National Forest. This trip is designed for all experience levels, whether you're carrying a backpack for the very first time or you're an experienced backpacker looking to spend a few days in the mountains with fellow veterans.

We'll travel through alpine forests, visit multiple mountain lakes, enjoy incredible scenery, and spend our evenings relaxing around camp. The pace is comfortable, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the views, and our experienced volunteers will help make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.

Day 1

• Hike approximately 3 to 4 miles

• Camp at Penner Lake

• Relax, swim, fish, and enjoy the rest of the day around camp

Day 2

• Hike approximately 7 to 8 miles

• Travel through beautiful alpine terrain

• Camp at Island Lake

Day 3

• Easy 1.5 mile hike back to the trailhead

Meeting Location - Sierra Discovery Trail

After everyone arrives, we'll carpool and drive together to the Carr-Feely Lake Campground & Trailhead, where our adventure begins.
